Mid-October is already consistently associated by many maintenance and production engineers with the SYMAS® MAINTENANCE trade fair, where solutions for bulk material handling or maintenance and optimisation of production processes are presented.
An important aspect that has always been addressed at the event, and which will be strongly emphasised this year, will be broadly understood industrial safety.
Raising standards in this area requires constant access to up-to-date knowledge, the latest tools and modern technology. Implementing a zero-accident strategy and implementing improvements in risk assessment, hazard monitoring, incident management or the safety of employees, processes and entire factories are key challenges of today's industry.
To meet these needs, we have created a new thematic zone that will showcase innovations in occupational health and safety, machine and process safety, fire and explosion protection or cyber security for industrial plants.
In the industrial safety zone, you will be able to learn about solutions for:
- improving safety culture (training in the areas of fire protection, explosion protection, chemical rescue, ecological rescue),
- industrial signage,
- collision avoidance systems, barriers, bumpers,
- management of chemicals and hazardous substances ( storage bins and containers for dangerous substances, safety cabinets, sorbents, cleaners),
- industrial flooring, industrial matting and anti-slip accessories,
- augmented/virtual reality (VR) in occupational health and safety,
- individual and collective protection measures,
- first aid measures,
- fire protection measures for industry (spark detection and extinguishing systems, smoke extraction systems, sprinkler systems, light and sound signalling and notification systems),
- access control systems
- lockout/tagout systems (LOTO),
- safety switches and relays (operator, pull-wire, emergency, limit and position switches),
- safety sensors, vision systems, safety guards, curtains and barriers,
- detectors for hazardous substances (gases, dust, vapours),
- protection of high-risk workplaces,
- explosion protection (safety flaps, venting devices, decoupling devices, shut-off valves, electrostatic earthing)
- process safety devices (safety plates, safety valves, breathing valves, flame arresters, detonation and deflagration arresters),
- dust extraction and air filtration systems,
- equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres involving gases, vapours, mists or dusts,
- cyber security of OT and ICS systems (industrial automation, control and process safety).
The fair's programme will also include a number of lectures and demonstrations addressed to managers and engineers in production and maintenance, as well as specialists in occupational health and safety, cyber-security or risk management systems who are closely involved in the topic of industrial safety.
If you, too, care about the safety of your industrial plant, then save the date of 15-16 October and join us in Krakow today!
See you there!
